Born in Albany, NY and a resident of Colonie, NY since the age of five, Alvin Gamble is currently honored to serve as a Colonie Town Councilman.
Alvin values his opportunity to represent the people of Colonie and to make strides to address their concerns and desires with the Town Board.
Alvin graduated from Colonie Central High School in the Class of 1979 and graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1983 where he had a dual-major in Criminal Justice and Sociology.
Alvin has enjoyed a fulfilling and long career at the National Grid energy company (previously Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation) for 41 years.

Alvin will promote the strong continuance of jobs and small businesses in our District and State that are the cornerstone of our region’s economy.
Alvin has walked in the shoes of the hardworking people of our District and knows the struggles and challenges they face every day.
The eldest of 3, married, and the father of 2, Alvin knows the importance of family and what it takes to support them.

Alvin will support polices that provide more good paying jobs and policies that protect the working people interests.

As a Colonie Town Councilman, Alvin works tirelessly as he advocates for his constituents and his neighbors.
Alvin brings his lived experiences as a college grad, acceptance to the NYS Trooper Academy, 40+ years as a union member, a Church Deacon, and a Councilman to the Town of Colonie.

Alvin is a committed defender of reproductive rights, strengthening public education, protecting the environment, and protecting aganist inflation of rent, housing, and food costs.
