  • Born in Albany, NY and a resident of Colonie, NY since the age of five, Alvin Gamble is currently honored to serve as a Colonie Town Councilman.

  • Alvin values his opportunity to represent the people of Colonie and to make strides to address their concerns and desires with the Town Board.

  • Alvin graduated from Colonie Central High School in the Class of 1979 and graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1983 where he had a dual-major in Criminal Justice and Sociology.

  • Alvin has enjoyed a fulfilling and long career at the National Grid energy company (previously Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation) for 41 years.

  • Alvin brings his lived experiences as a college grad, acceptance to the NYS Trooper Academy, 40+ years as a union member, a Church Deacon, and a Councilman to the Town of Colonie.

  • Alvin is a committed defender of reproductive rights, strengthening public education, protecting the environment, and protecting aganist inflation of rent, housing, and food costs.
